Browser Boxing tutorial

Get ready for your first fight with seven guided sparring steps. Learn range, combinations, blocking, taunting, clinch punches, fouls, and getting up with keyboard or touch controls.

Free to play, with no account or download required. Tutorial and practice do not affect your fight record or progression.

Learn the controls

Complete seven short steps to unlock matchmaking. Your opponent waits while you learn to punch, then throws slow head jabs for blocking practice.

  1. Range: Move closer and land a jab.
  2. Combinations: Land a jab, then follow with a cross.
  3. Defense: Block a head jab, then land a punch back.
  4. Taunting: Complete a 2-second taunt while your opponent waits.
  5. Clinch punches: Move into a clinch and land a hook, then an uppercut. The referee waits while you learn.
  6. Fouls: Try one low blow and one headbutt without leaving the clinch. Each costs a point; a third foul disqualifies you in a fight.
  7. Getting up: Take two punches that daze and knock you down, then repeatedly tap Get up or Space to finish. The tutorial lets you retry the count.

Taunts

Press T or tap Taunt to perform one of your saved taunts. For 2 seconds you can’t move, block, or punch.

  • Each completed taunt adds a bonus stack, up to 3, that increases the damage you deal and take. Stacks fade over time.
  • A clean punch during a taunt deals 50% more damage, dazes you, and removes every stack.
  • Taunt when your opponent is out of range or down for a count.

Fouls

In a clinch, hooks and uppercuts stay legal. Jab and Cross become deliberate foul controls: hold Shift and press J for a low blow or K for a headbutt. On touch, hold the Hold for fouls pad with one finger and tap a foul with another.

  • A low blow empties your opponent’s stamina and lowers their stamina ceiling by 15% of its starting maximum for the rest of the fight.
  • A headbutt removes 15% of your opponent’s maximum health and can cause a knockout.
  • Each landed foul deducts one point. A third foul disqualifies you and your opponent wins.
  • The third foul disqualifies you even if it would knock out your opponent. Fouls can create an opening for a KO, but the deductions hurt your chances on the scorecards.
  • Fouls need a fresh press while you are ready in a clinch. They never repeat while held or queue behind another punch. Ordinary punches never become fouls.

Practice combinations

Open Boxing Practice to choose a dummy and work on punches, combinations, blocking, and counters at your pace.

Practice is available without an account or tutorial completion. It has unlimited time and automatic recovery, with no record or progression changes. Practice alone does not complete the tutorial.

After the tutorial

Tutorial completion is saved in this browser for guests or to your registered account. When completion is saved, select Fight Now to find an opponent.
