Terms of play
Terms & Conditions
Effective August 4, 2026. These Terms govern your access to and use of Browser Boxing as a guest, account holder, player, or spectator.
Agreement to these Terms
Browser Boxing is an independently operated browser game available at browserboxing.com. These Terms form an agreement between you and the operator of Browser Boxing (“Browser Boxing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning the website, game, guest and account services, matchmaking, realtime fights, spectator features, public game records, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By creating or using a guest session, creating an account, entering matchmaking, spectating, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and parents
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use. By allowing a minor to use the Service, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf to the extent permitted by law. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use it.
You may use the Service only if applicable law permits you to do so. You may not use the Service if you are barred from receiving it under United States law or the law where you live.
Guest sessions and accounts
You may play through a guest session or register one account by adopting the guest boxer. Provide accurate information, an email address you control, and a handle and boxer name you are entitled to use. Keep your credentials and devices secure. You are responsible for activity through your account or session except to the extent it results from our breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe an account or session has been compromised. You may not sell, transfer, rent, share, or provide access to an account or session. Handles are assigned on a first-available basis and are not property; we may reclaim or change them when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect a third-party right, or operate the Service.
Limited license
Subject to these Terms, Browser Boxing grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for non-commercial entertainment. The Service is licensed, not sold. No ownership right in the Service, an account, a boxer, a rating, a record, a belt, or any other game element is transferred to you.
Names, submissions, and public records
Handles, boxer names, appearance selections, gameplay actions, and feedback you submit are “User Submissions.” You retain any rights you have in a User Submission. You grant Browser Boxing a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical or formatting purposes, display, publish, and otherwise use User Submissions as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service. This license lasts for as long as the submission is used by the Service; licenses tied to completed fights and public game records may continue after account closure to preserve those records.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit each User Submission and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. Do not submit a legal name, personal contact information, or other information you do not want displayed with your public game activity. We may reject, remove, or change a submission that violates these Terms or creates legal, safety, or operational risk, but we are not required to monitor every submission.
Gameplay, matchmaking, and official results
Browser Boxing servers determine official match state, accepted inputs, scorecards, referee outcomes, replays, results, XP, ratings, records, and belt events. Server records control in the event of delay, desynchronization, duplicate input, suspected abuse, disconnect, or a conflict with what a browser displayed. Queue rules, eligibility requirements, ready deadlines, reconnect windows, forfeits, and gameplay locks may be applied automatically.
Automated opponents may support matchmaking availability and live showcase fights without being identified in a particular matchup. We may correct, void, withhold, or restore a result or game record when reasonably necessary to address a defect, invalid fight, cheating, security event, data-integrity problem, or legal obligation. Published completed fights remain records of the game rules in effect when they were played, except where correction or removal is reasonably required.
Acceptable use
You may not, and may not help anyone else to:
- Cheat, exploit defects, manipulate timing or network messages, automate gameplay, collude, intentionally lose for advantage, or otherwise create an unfair result.
- Bypass access controls, security measures, rate limits, eligibility rules, or suspensions; probe or test vulnerabilities without prior written permission.
- Interfere with a fight or the Service; send malicious, malformed, deceptive, excessive, or automated traffic; or introduce harmful code.
- Access, use, disclose, or attempt to obtain another person's account, session, credentials, private information, or non-public Service data.
- Impersonate, threaten, harass, defraud, stalk, or deliberately mislead another person, or use the Service for spam or unlawful conduct.
- Use a handle, boxer name, or other submission that is unlawful, hateful, obscene, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or invasive of privacy.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, frame, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly prohibits this restriction.
- Use the Service in violation of applicable law, sanctions, export controls, or another person's rights.
We may reject inputs, throttle traffic, restrict features, change or remove a name, void affected results, suspend access, or terminate a session or account when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms or protect the Service, players, or others.
No purchases, wagering, or prizes
This release has no entry fee, item sales, subscriptions, wagering, cash value, cash prizes, or guaranteed rewards. XP, stats, ratings, records, placements, belts, boxer appearances, and other game elements are revocable records or features of the Service. They are not money, property, securities, stored value, or a promise of compensation, and they may not be sold or exchanged for value.
Browser Boxing ownership
Browser Boxing and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, fight systems, rules implementation, artwork, animation, design, text, audio, branding, and other content, excluding User Submissions. The Browser Boxing name, logos, and trade dress may not be used without prior written permission. Except for the limited license above, these Terms grant no intellectual property rights.
If you voluntarily provide an idea or suggestion, we may use it without restriction or compensation, provided this does not grant us rights in personal information beyond those described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes to the Service
The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, capacity, internet conditions, provider failure, security response, or other causes. We do not guarantee a match, opponent, queue position, successful reconnect, saved guest session, particular result, ranking, belt, feature, or uninterrupted availability.
We may update, rebalance, limit, suspend, reset, or discontinue all or part of the Service for gameplay, technical, security, legal, or operational reasons. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before a change that materially and adversely affects registered users. Nothing in these Terms requires us to continue offering the Service or any game record indefinitely.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion using the contact address below. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, serious or repeated violations, or protection of the Service or others. We may also terminate the Service generally.
On termination, your license ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including provisions concerning public records, licenses already granted, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and general contract terms. Information is handled after termination as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Browser Boxing disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, security, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that defects will be corrected, that data will never be lost, or that the Service will be free of harmful components.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Browser Boxing and its operator, licensors, service providers, and personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, goodwill, opportunity, profits, or Service availability, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, regardless of the theory of liability and even if advised that damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Browser Boxing and the parties listed above for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of 100 U.S. dollars or the amount you paid Browser Boxing for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. The exclusions and cap do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, which may include liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by negligence in some jurisdictions.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Browser Boxing and its operator, licensors, service providers, and personnel from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable legal expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Service, your User Submissions, or your material breach of these Terms or another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from conduct by Browser Boxing, and it does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
Disputes and governing law
Before filing a claim, please send a description of the dispute and requested resolution to [email protected] and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a small-claims or consumer-protection process where available.
These Terms and disputes arising from them or the Service are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory right you have to bring a claim elsewhere, you and Browser Boxing consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Illinois. If you are a consumer outside Illinois, this section does not deprive you of non-waivable protections provided by the law of your habitual residence.
General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service and replace prior agreements on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with operating, reorganizing, financing, or transferring the Service, subject to applicable law. Section headings are for convenience.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post revised Terms here with a new effective date. For a material change, we will provide additional notice reasonably suited to the change, such as a prominent Service notice or an account email. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
